Veenstra’s Garage Receives 2009 Best of Grand Rapids Award

U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

WASHINGTON D.C., June 8, 2009 — Veenstra’s Garage has been selected for the 2009 Best of Grand Rapids Award in the Automotive Repair Shops category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

Veenstra’s Garage 2007 BBB-WMI Business of Integrity Winner!

March 22nd, 2007

At a luncheon in Grand Rapids, the Better Business Bureau announced the winners of the second BBB of Western Michigan’s Integrity Awards. In addition to the Business awards, the BBB also presented three Student of Integrity scholarships to the regional high school seniors. Companies within the 38 county BBB’s service area were nominated throughout the year at the BBB’s website www.westernmichigan.bbb.org. Those nominated sent in an application and were judged on overall ethical practices portrayed via employee practices, vendor and supplier practices, as well as the integrity shown on their marketing, advertising and community involvement.

Ken Vander Meeden, BBB of Western Michigan President, noted:

“We always like to recognize a few of the many reputable companies we have located within our region. West Michigan prides itself in the quality of life we have achieved but the quality of the companies we have located here is a big positive for the employees, venders and customers of these companies. Too often we only hear about the negatives of business leadership and it is rewarding for the BBB to be directly involved in recognizing the positive contributions of these fine organizations”Vander Meeden noted,“Companies of integrity exist throughout our region; we encourage the general public to proactively  nominate reputable firms from their community on our website throughout the year. As our local winners are eligible for the CBBB’s International Torch Awards our home is to have a community be recognized within the global marketplace as a business community of integrity”
